Former Barcelona striker Thierry Henry hailed the club's stunning performance after they thrashed Newcastle United 7-2 in the Champions League round of 16 second leg. The French legend described the display at Camp Nou as a return to the team's dominant best under manager Hansi Flick.

Barcelona secured an 8-3 aggregate victory to reach the quarter finals, where they will face Atletico Madrid. Henry highlighted the clinical finishing of Raphinha and Robert Lewandowski, who each scored twice, alongside contributions from Marc Bernal, Lamine Yamal, and Fermin Lopez.
Despite Newcastle taking a brief lead through two Anthony Elanga goals in the first half, Barcelona responded immediately. Yamal's penalty just before halftime restored their advantage before a second half onslaught saw Lewandowski add another pair and Raphinha complete the rout in the 72nd minute.
Henry noted that this result places Barcelona among elite company, marking only the third time in the competition's history the Catalan side has scored seven goals in a single match. The win also compounded a difficult week for English clubs, following Chelsea's heavy aggregate defeat to Paris Saint Germain.
The quarter final lineup is now set with Barcelona meeting Atletico Madrid, while Bayern Munich will host Real Madrid. Liverpool advanced past Galatasaray with a 4-0 win to face Paris Saint Germain, and Tottenham Hotspur were eliminated despite a second leg victory over Atletico.
